Philippe Lebreton
Archimedes
|

As part of Archimedes’ team since November 2003, Philippe Lebreton has used his experience in nuclear information and control systems to design the instrumentation and control architecture for the nuclear waste treatment application. Further he has prepared the safety documentation for the system installation and is currently developing a concept to use Archimedes Filter technology for separation of actinides from fission products at the back-end of the uranium extraction process. Such an application of the Archimedes filter could reduce by three-fold the mass of long life radionuclides to be buried, extending the capacity of the Yucca Mountain Repository.
Prior to working with Archimedes Technology Group, Philippe was a senior control systems engineer managing EDF Group’s Nuclear Generation Division where he was successively Test engineer, Industrial IT team manager, Robotics Team Manager, Corporate I&C branch manager and Corporate project manager.
Along with his Master’s degree in fluid mechanics, Philippe holds degrees in Aerodynamics and Hydrodynamics and has more than 20 years of experience in project management, engineering, O&M and safety of energy plants.
