M2M provides an end-to-end internet-based SCADA solution for secure, real-time monitoring and control of remote assets, such as electrical generators, substations, wind turbines, and compressors. For its signature i-SCADATM solution, M2M places an internet gateway at each remote device which communicates with the M2M back-office server via a secure, encrypted connection, using the available communications (satellite, radio, cellular, or landline).

The customer is able to access data through applications hosted on M2M’s server via any internet-enabled device (with proper authentication). M2M works as an Application Services Provider (ASP), charging a fixed monthly fee per site for data access.

In addition to leading the technical team, Easenergy’s expert Laurent Bacon has spearheaded several implementations of M2M systems to EDF Group affiliates including Comego, a combined cycle gas power plant in Mexico.

In addition, for its European affiliates, EDF has successfully tested the device in a controlled setting and is conducting a pilot installation on a North London substation.
